The ILBF supports access to justice and the rule of law through sharing legal knowledge. The ILBF ships in-demand law books donated by the UK legal community to organisations all over the world. Since 2005, it has shipped 88,000 books to 280 organisations in 57 countries. The ILBF draws great support from law students at universities in the UK who collect and pack much needed student textbooks and in recognition of that support and to provide a unique opportunity to help the careers of future lawyers, the ILBF runs an annual law undergraduate essay competition.
This year international law firm McDermot Will & Emery sponsored the competition and the winner’s prize is a week’s work experience with the firm in London in July.
