Mickael Laurans
Mickaël Laurans is the Head of International at the Law Society of England and Wales. He has been with the Law Society for 16 years, first leading on engagement with the Europe and CIS region (2003-2012) and then spending five years (2012-2017) in Brussels as Head of the Joint Office of the UK Law Societies (England and Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland). He is now back in London leading a team representing solicitors’ interests internationally within the context of Brexit.
Mickaël is an expert on international trade and the EU internal market in legal services. He is a French/British national educated in law, economics and politics at postgraduate level in both countries.
