Amna Rashid
Amna Rashid is an Advocate of the Lahore High Court, Pakistan and the Founding Director Center for Human Rights and Justice (CHRJ) and an Assistant Professor at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities (SSS&H), UMT Lahore.
She received her LL.B. from University of London (UK) in 2011 and in 2014 she was awarded the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship to pursue a Master’s Degree in the USA. She received her LL.M. from Columbia University in the City of New York (USA) in 2015, where she was named a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar and was awarded the Parker School Certificate recognizing her achievements in International and Comparative Law.
Her research has focused on understanding the state of human rights in Pakistan, primarily labor rights in the informal sector, rights of persons with disabilities, and rights of women. She has numerous publications and conference presentations to her credit.
