Anti-Corruption Sub-Committee

The convenor of the Anti-Corruption sub-committee is  Juliet Ibekaku-Nwagwu (Nigeria)

The convenor invites CLA members to join this committee with a focus on work within the guidelines of the Commonwealth Charter, which commits member countries to adopt good governance and transparency policies to tackle the systemic roots of corruption. Through the sub-committee (which reports to its parent Committee, the Public and Administrative Law Committee), the CLA will raise awareness among legal professionals of their role in preventing and enforcing anti-corruption laws. The sub-committee aims to support CLA members in understanding the core international bribery and money laundering laws and how to apply them

CLA members are encouraged to read the Committee’s Terms of Reference and email info@commonwealthlawyers.com to join this committee.
