CLA News / Tribute to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, 1926- 2022

The President , Council and Secretariat of the Commonwealth Lawyers Association join the 56 nations of the Commonwealth in mourning the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

We pay tribute to Her Majesty’s life of service and steadfast dedication to the peoples of the Commonwealth . Visiting every Commonwealth country bar two, Her Majesty took an active role in promoting and celebrating a modern, vibrant and connected family of nations. With history and tradition a keystone, Her Majesty embraced the social, cultural and technological advances of her 70 year reign to support and develop the great reach and rich diversity of Commonwealth relationships. Her Majesty’s example will continue to be an inspiration, as we affirm our commitment to our national and international communities and the challenges we must meet together.

We extend condolences to Her Majesty’s family.
