Richard Nii Amarh ESQ is a private lawyer, and an entrepreneur. He has also been involved in political activism in Ghana and has since 2016 served as the Executive Director of the Progressive People’s Party. This role makes him responsible for the operational planning, implementation and management of the party’s activities and membership drive in accordance with the strategic direction set by the National Committee of the party.
He is the Managing Partner of Voxtua Legal Services, a private law firm that he helped established soon after he was called to the bar. He is also a promoter of made in Ghana Goods and has been an active promoter of locally produced rice through the platform called Ghana Rice Market on various Social Media platforms for the past 5 years.
He read Bachelor of Laws LLB in the University of Ghana in 2014 and Bachelor of Arts (African Studies) at the University of Cape Coast in 2009. He is a product of Okuapeman School where he wrote the Senior High School Certificate Examination, 2003 and Demonstration Junior High School in Aburi Akuapem where he wrote the Basic Education Certificate Examination, 2000. He has several years of experience in Banking as he previously worked in Akuapem Rural Bank, First National Savings and Loans and GN Bank respectively. He is also a former tutor of the University of Cape Coast, Center for distance Education where he instructed students in Company law and Business Law.
During his days as a Student in University of Cape Coast, he served as the Speaker of Parliament and later the SRC President. Under his leadership, the Students Emergency Relief Fund (SERF) was established to help pay fees of deserving students who were unable to afford their fees.
He is a Christian, and married to Augustina Otema Oduro and together they have with two boys. He enjoys reading and traveling during his leisure time.
